After roughly two years of sketching, refining and painting my way through 78 cards, I am finally ready to let the secret out: Concertina Tarot is coming.

What is Concertina Tarot?

Concertina Tarot is a fully hand illustrated, 78 card deck with a vintage storybook aesthetic. Every card is an original illustration, inspired by the storytelling of the tarot but completely reimagined. Recurring imagery woven across the deck and dreamlike narratives this deck the feeling that each card holds a story within a story. This is a deck for readers with imagination.

The style is a strange mix of antique illustration and waking dream. Concertina Tarot has been created to reward a slow, curious look.

Why the name "Concertina"?

A concertina is all about connection. It folds, it unfolds and every part of it relates to the whole. That felt like the right name for a deck where the cards are continuously in conversation with each other, where threads of imagery and story run through the whole 78 cards. 

Where is the deck at right now?

Concertina Tarot is very much a one woman operation. Every sketch and every painting has come from my studio and to be honest, the control freak in me loves it that way. It is a slow burn, but a good one. The artwork and card design are complete, and I am currently finishing the rigid box packaging before the deck heads off for sample printing. The plan is to have it available in October 2026.
