About Jenni McLaughlin

Jenni McLaughlin is an Australian visual artist whose work fuses vintage illustration with surrealist ambiguity, creating a distinctive and evocative visual language.
After studying at the Adelaide College of the Arts, she has exhibited her work internationally, with exhibitions in Adelaide and Melbourne, Australia, as well as Granada and Madrid, Spain. Her practice has also included a large scale public art commission in Adelaide, integrating her distinctive imagery into the urban environment.
Jenni's work is deeply informed by esoteric traditions and symbolic systems, particularly the tarot. This interest culminated in The Falling Card Tarot, a complete 78 card, hand painted deck that reimagines archetypal imagery through a surreal and vintage aesthetic. The deck has been recognised for its intricate symbolism and unique artistic voice, resonating with both art audiences and practitioners of divination.
Alongside her visual practice, Jenni has over five years' experience teaching art to students worldwide. This educational background informs her work, which often functions as a medium for storytelling and cross-cultural communication.
She is currently completing her second hand illustrated tarot deck, Concertina Tarot, to be released in 2026. Watch this space!
